About GTA6MapSize

This is an independent fan project that maps the State of Leonida and grades every place on it by how solid the evidence behind it is. It is not affiliated with Rockstar Games. This page explains what the site is for, how it is put together and how it is funded.

Why the site exists

Search for the GTA 6 map and you get two kinds of result. Pages that rank well but have no actual map, and maps that work but carry no explanation of where anything came from. Both types quote square kilometre figures to two decimal places for a game world nobody has measured. This site was built to be the third kind: a working map where every marker states its source and how much that source is worth.

Every place carries a grade

Nothing goes on the map without a documented source. Each entry is graded confirmed when Rockstar has shown it on its own site, in a trailer or in a screenshot; reported when a developer said it in an interview or established outlets corroborate it; leaked when it appears only in leaked material that may be years out of date; and unconfirmed when it is a community reading of ambiguous evidence. The grade is visible on the map and in the list. When Rockstar confirms something that was previously leaked, the grade moves up and the source key changes. That upgrade work is the main ongoing job here.

What this site will not do

It will not invent a place to fill a gap in the map. It will not present a leaked name as a confirmed one, in any language. It will not quote a precise area figure for Leonida, because Rockstar has never published one. And it does not host or mirror leaked material; the leak is described and used to grade evidence, nothing more.

Who runs it

A small independent team of GTA players, working on this outside of any company. There is no Rockstar involvement, no insider access and no advance copy of the game. Everything on the site comes from public material anyone can check, which is exactly why the sources are listed.

How the site is paid for

Hosting, the domain and the time that goes into it are covered by advertising. Ads never change what a place is graded, and no advertiser has any say in the content. If that ever changed, this page would say so.

Eight languages, one source of truth

The site is published in English, Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Portuguese, Korean and Italian. English is the source of truth and every other language falls back to it phrase by phrase, so a missing translation shows readable English rather than a blank. Evidence grades are never softened or strengthened in translation.

Corrections are welcome

If something here is wrong, tell us and it gets fixed. The most useful message names the place, says what is wrong, and links to a trailer timestamp, a screenshot or an official page. Corrections that arrive with a source are usually live within a day.
