GTA 6 Map Locations: Every Place in Leonida

The complete list of places known to be in the State of Leonida, sorted by region and graded by evidence. Some of these Rockstar has shown you directly. Others come from a leak and may never ship. The grade on each entry tells you which.

The six official regions

These six are named by Rockstar on its own site, with a short description for each. They are the only regional divisions the studio has committed to, and everything else on this page sits inside one of them.

Vice City

Rockstar calls Vice City the sun and fun capital of America. It returns in a modern-day setting for the first time since 2002 and is the largest city Rockstar has built.

Vice City and its districts

Vice City is the anchor of the map and the largest city Rockstar has built. It is split between the mainland and a barrier island across the bay, which is the same shape Miami takes in real life. Several district names come straight from the Rockstar site. Others are read from trailer signage, and a few appear only in leaked material.

The counties

Leaked material divides Leonida into counties as well as regions. The naming follows real Florida counties closely enough that the mapping is obvious. Rockstar has never mentioned counties, so this whole section is leak-derived and could be wrong or outdated.

Counties named in leaked material and their real-world counterparts
County Real-world counterpart
Vice-Dale County Miami-Dade County
Leonard County Broward County
Kelly County Collier and Lee Counties
Ambrosia County Hendry County
Mariana County Monroe County
Lummox County North Florida and South Georgia

Gloriana, and whether you can leave the state

Gloriana is the neighbouring state, the game version of Georgia. It shows up on licence plates and in dialogue but appears nowhere on any version of the map, and no footage has shown a border crossing. The closest precedent in the series is North Yankton in GTA 5, which existed as a small mission-only area rather than as part of the open world. Treat any claim that Gloriana is explorable as unconfirmed.

What is missing from every map, including this one

No interior list, no road network, no mission locations and no collectibles. None of that has been shown, and any site presenting it before launch is filling in blanks. The map will grow considerably once the game ships and people can walk the world themselves.

FAQ

Is Vice City in GTA 6?

Yes, and it is the main city. Rockstar confirmed a modern-day Vice City inside the fictional state of Leonida, the first return to the city since the 2002 game.

What regions are on the GTA 6 map?

Rockstar names six: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Leaked material adds six counties on top of those, which Rockstar has not confirmed.

What does the GTA 6 map look like?

A compact Florida, wider and shorter than the real state. Vice City sits on the south-east coast, split by a bay with a barrier island on the ocean side, and wetlands fill the southern interior. The Leonida Keys trail off the bottom, the panhandle runs west along the top toward Port Gellhorn, and Mount Kalaga National Park sits on the northern border. Nobody outside Rockstar has seen the finished map, so this is the layout that the leaked material and the trailers together describe rather than a confirmed picture.

Can you leave Leonida in GTA 6?

There is no evidence that you can. Gloriana, the neighbouring state, shows up on licence plates but does not appear on any version of the map. The closest precedent is North Yankton in GTA 5, which was reachable only during specific missions.
